In October, the city council voted unanimously to ban the paid practice for children under age 18. Members said there are counseling services available throughout the city for youth struggling with sexuality or gender identity.

This is just one of many efforts that Eau Claire makes toward being an inclusive city for all members including those of the LGBTQ+ community. The city also provides gay bars, community centers and events around town to celebrate LGBTQ+ events.
